We spend one long fourth day visiting Wiñaywayna, before to reach Machu Picchu, we have 3 nights camping and one night in a nice hotel in Aguas Calientes, on the fifth day we return to Machu Picchu early enough to see the sunrise, have the guided tour and enjoy the citadel.
