Buen viaje caminantes!!!

Dear Joel and Carlos

Thank you for organising our trip so well. You did a great Job. The bus trip to La Paz worked out well, however, I cannot recommend anyone to stay in La Paz. It is not a pretty city and there is not much to see!!

Under which website can I register with Trip Adviser? I will definitely give you a superb report as you made our stay in Peru a huge success!!

Best regards

Susan

My friend and I had planned to do the Inca Trail, however at the time we arrived there Machu Picchu was closed (due to the flooding).
Best Travel organised for us 2 different tours at the last moment. They've been very helpful and reliable.
I enjoyed both tours even though they were too short: the sacred valley and Ollantaytambo

My daughter and I had a great trek in August 2010 to the Lares Valley. Joel Vitorino with Best Andes had all the details arranged in advance and also helped by putting together a private tour of the Sacred Valley on very short notice prior to our trek. Following our return to Cusco he booked our tickets to Puno on Inca Express as well. Our guide on the trek was Washington - an enthusiastic and entertaining fellow who spoke excellent English for the linguistically challenged. Even though my daughter suffered from altitude sickness the first day of the trek she was able to ride a pack horse to our first campsite. There our cook prepared hot herbal teas which had her revived and up for pancakes the second day. She also fulfilled her dream of hiking with llamas. Best Andes had them waiting at our campsite for the next stage of the trek. Meeting the local children on the trail was a highlight of the trek as well as picking out our guinea pig the night before the meal and sunrise at Machu Pichu. Thanks for making ours a memorable and smooth trip.
When I was searching for travel/trek guide I noticed that there were not a lot of reviews for Best Andes. I hope that these comments will help someone needing a positive confirmation.

I enjoyed the cycling a lot and the food was of standart better than expected. I thought the guide was been to help and he fielded questions from the group well.
The hiking was very good last the second hike was a little long.
Overall the trip has been very good. I have enjoyed it.
Thanks.

Everything went according to plan. I would not have been able to visit Machu Picchu in one long day without the invaluable assistance of Best Andes in handling the very complicated logistics--airport pickup, train to Aguas Calientes, bus to Machu Picchu, entrance and tour and return to Aguas Calientes and back to Cuzco for overnight stay-- all for a fair price. Even though I had not booked my Cuzco hotel with Best Andes, their driver took my bags to be stored there while I visited the ruins--for no extra charge. They also had friendly, helpful, bilingual guides. Great job!
