The Salkantay & Inca Trail trek is longer, tougher trek which extends the Classic four day trail by three days. You walk through more remote parts of the Andes, passing ancient Inca stonework and ruins to altitudes over 5,000m. You join the Classic Inca Trail on the fifth day and continue along the famous route to Machu Picchu. This trip is designed for more experienced trekkers and well worth it if you want to escape the busy Classic Inca Trail Hike for a few days.

Itinerary: Salkantay & Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 7 days

Day 1: CUSCO / MARKOKASA /SORAYPAMPA

Transport from Cusco to Mollepata, We will begin the ramble join with a bilingual guide, with a lot experience, the mules will carry all of our baggage, we will have some emergency horses too, in case that needed them. As far as Soraypampa where we will camp (lunch, afternoon snack, dinner).

Day 2: SORAYPAMPA / INCACHIRIASCA

We will climb slowly from Soraypampa (3800m) continued for beautiful landscapes to to Salkantay ravine then we will continue walking up until Incachiriasca where we are going to camp.
(Breakfast,Snack, lunch, dinner).

Day 3: INCACHIRIASCA STEP / SISAY PAMPA

To day we will begin our ramble with exceptional Salkantay snow-covered views (6271) while we climb to Incachiriasca step (4880) this beautiful mountain will amaze us. After we descend to the Sisaypampa step where we will camp downwards majestic Salkantay snow-covered. (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Day 4: SISAY PAMPA / CANAL INCA / PAUCARCANCHA

After healthy breakfast, we will begin ramble, to the Pampacahua valley where we will find rest of the Inca canal, then we descend to the archeological combined of Paucarcancha where after to have visited them we will camp. (breakfast, lunch, dinner).

Day 5: PAUCARCANCHA / WAYLLABAMBA / PACAYMAYO

We will undertake on early in the morning the ramble to Guayllabamba(3000 m.) in this day we begin to walk the traditional Inca Trail after breakfast we will climb to Warmihuañusca step, then we can see the great construction of the Inca trail while we descent to Pacaymayo valley where we will be camping, (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Day 6: SAYACMARCA / PHUYUPATAMARCA / WIÑAYWAYNA

It is a best day than other ones of our ramble, we will be seeing spectacular landscapes and will be visiting archeological centers like to Sayacmarca, Concahamarcay, Phuyupatamarca. Finally we will descend to striking Wiñaywayna where we will camp. (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Day 7: INTIPUNKU / MACHUPICCHU / CUSCO

Very early in the morning we will start our ramble to arrive to Intipunku and we can have the first magnificent view of the terrific striking Machupicchu (2475 m), then we will descend to our excursion guided to the beautiful Inca city, in the afternoon we will return to Cusco by train, to arrive and to move at hotel. (Breakfast)

This route is one of the most complete that the mountain range Vilcabamba has to offer, as well as one of the most beautiful. One passes by the snowy-mountain peak of Salkantay Inca Trail and the traditional Inca Trek, with camping close to the Andean lakes and a final descent that arrives to a dense tropical jungle. The trek ends in Machupicchu. During the hike one can enjoy the local flora and fauna typical to the Andean jungle zone and arqueological places, that also offers thermal lakes and remote valleys. In this program, our team is in charge of providing all the necessary facilities and requirements so that one may enjoy the hike with security and pleasure.
