Itinerary

Day 1 – Lima – Cusco – Sacred Valley

Today you take your flight to Cusco. On arrival you will be met by our Team.

Today our Guide & Driver will meet you at the airport and take you on the Private Tour of the Sacred Valley. We will visit Pisac Market & Ruins. We will walk in the area of the ruins for around 1 hour. Afterwards visit Hacienda Huayoccari for a three-course lunch in this traditional hacienda, owned and lived-in by one of the oldest land-owning families in Cusco. Here you can browse their private collection of folk art and ancient artifacts. After this we go to your hotel located close to the restaurant.

Day 2 – Sacred Valley

Your guide will meet you at the hotel this morning and we continue further exploring the Sacred Valley. We will visit the little town of Maras which is the gateway to the Inca circular terraces of Moray commonly referred to as the “Inca Greenhouse” due to the fact that it is believed these terraces were used to experiment with growing crops at various levels of altitude. From here we visit the restaurant of the famous chef Virgilio, where we will enjoy the Mil experience.

In the afternoon visit Maras salt pans. This site consists of a huge number of watered terraces that collect salt by evaporation from the saline waters that gush from an underground stream. Built in a similar way to agricultural terraces seen throughout the Andes, the Salinas of Maras have been in use since pre-Columbian times.

Day 3 – Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu

Today visit the fabulous town of Ollantaytambo and its ruins. It was here that one of the greatest battles of the Conquest was fought, and one of the few where the Incas defeated the Spaniards.

Afterwards, we transfer you to the train station in Ollantaytambo where you board your train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes a Representative from the hotel will meet you and transfer to the hotel. You have the rest of day at leisure!

Day 4 – Machu Picchu

As early as 9:00AM you can take the bus up to Machupicchu for the sunrise! You can decide the departure time with our guide.

Our specialist guide will take you on a fascinating guided tour in the ruins, lasting approximately 2 hours, visiting the most important Temples, i.e. the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Three Windows, Temple of the Pachamama (Mother Earth), and Temple of the Inti Watana, which served as a place to study the constellations, the solstices and equinoxes. After the tour you have leisure time in Machupicchu / Aguas Calientes.

In the afternoon you will return to Cusco/Ollaytatambo via train. We will meet you at the Train Station and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 5 – Cusco

In the morning our Guide & Driver will meet you at your hotel and take you on a City Tour of Cusco. You will visit the most important sites: The Cathedral, Koricancha “Temple of the Sun”, Tambomachay “Temple of the Water”, Qenqo and Sacsayhuaman. The tour lasts around 4 hours and we return you to the hotel afterwards.
