How far in advance should I book the 4-Day Inca Trail?

Inca Trail permits are strictly limited by the Peruvian government to 500 per day (including guides, chefs, and porters). We strongly recommend booking 4 to 6 months in advance, especially for high season (May through September).

Are porters included in the 4-Day Inca Trail package?

Yes! Our team of local porters carries all communal camping equipment, tents, kitchen gear, and food. Personal porter options are also available to carry your personal daypack.

How do I prevent altitude sickness on the Inca Trail?

We advise arriving in Cusco (3,400m / 11,150ft) at least 2 to 3 days before your trek starts to acclimatize. Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and drink local coca tea.

What happens if Inca Trail permits are sold out for my dates?

If official permits are sold out, we offer premium alternative treks such as the 5-Day Salkantay Trek or the Lares Trek, both culminating with a visit to Machu Picchu
