Private permits sell out months in advance.

Why a Private Inca Trail Tour is the Ultimate Investment

The difference between a standard group trek and our Inca Trail Private Service is the difference between being a tourist and being an explorer.

1. Tailored Pacing for Families and Couples

Standard Inca Trail tours often force a rigid schedule. If you want to linger at a viewpoint or take a break to photograph a rare Orchid, you should be able to. Our private guides are experts in “reading the trail,” adjusting the pace to ensure that children or older family members feel empowered, not exhausted.

2. Gourmet Andean Cuisine

Forget basic trail food. Our private chefs specialize in “Novo-Andean” cuisine. Imagine sitting in a lighted dining tent at 3,600 meters, enjoying a three-course meal featuring local organic ingredients, fresh trout, and traditional soups—all prepared specifically for your dietary needs.

3. High-End Camping Equipment

We provide state-of-the-art 4-season tents (used at half capacity for maximum space), professional-grade sleeping mats, and a dedicated team of porters who ensure your camp is ready and warm the moment you arrive.

Detailed Itinerary: The Classic 4-Day Private Trek

Day 1: The Gateway to the Past (Cusco – Km. 82 – Wayllabamba)

Your journey begins with a private transfer from your hotel in Cusco. We travel through the Sacred Valley, stopping for a final organic breakfast before reaching Km. 82, the official start of the Inca Trail tours.

Unlike large groups that rush the start, our private service allows us to explore the ruins of Llactapata with depth. This site served as a major agricultural station for Machu Picchu. Your private guide will explain the intricate Incan terrace system while you enjoy a panoramic view of the Urubamba mountain range.

Altitude: Starts at 2,380m; Ends at 3,000m.

Distance: 14 km (8.7 miles)

Walking Time: 6-7 hours

This is the most physically demanding day of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. We ascend to the legendary Warmiwañusca (Dead Woman’s Pass) at 4,200 meters.

While others struggle in large packs, you will have a personal porter and a guide who monitors your oxygen levels and heart rate. Reaching the summit is a spiritual milestone. The descent into the Pacaymayu valley offers a dramatic shift from high-altitude “Puna” grass to the beginnings of the Cloud Forest.

Max Altitude: 4,215m (13,828 ft).

Distance: 12 km (7.5 miles)

Walking Time: 7-8 hours

Many travelers consider Day 3 the most beautiful. The trail follows an original Incan stone road. We visit:

  • Runkurakay: A circular “Tambo” (resting place).
  • Sayacmarca: An inaccessible fortress perched on a cliff.
  • Phuyupatamarca: “The Town Above the Clouds,” featuring ritual baths.

Our Inca Trail Private Service includes a special farewell dinner at Wiñayhuayna, where you can toast your team of porters and chefs who have made this luxury trek possible.

Highlight: The only hot shower available on the trail.

Distance: 16 km (10 miles)

Walking Time: 8-9 hours

The climax of all Machu Picchu tours. We arrive at Intipunku (The Sun Gate) just as the morning light hits the citadel. Because your tour is private, your 2-hour guided exploration of Machu Picchu will avoid the heavy crowds.

We cover the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, and the Royal Quarters. After the tour, you’ll enjoy a celebratory lunch in Aguas Calientes before returning to Cusco in the Vistadome Train, featuring panoramic windows to view the changing landscape.
